“Michael is an amazingly bright, funny and loving boy with Down Syndrome who has been on hospice since June. Due to his Down Syndrome, he was denied life insurance. He has beat many odds in his short life and impacted every person he has encountered. Michael’s work on earth is nearly done. He has scarred and damaged lungs…his scar tissue is hardening to the consistency of cartilage due to chronic croup/pneumonia and five thoracic surgeries, including heart surgery at age four months. Michael is somewhat of a celebrity in our community, touching everyone with his pure love of life, music, dancing and people. He lights up any room he enters. Being a single mom, I am faced with the reality that I cannot afford his funeral. I taught high school English until his health began to fail drastically. I’ve never asked for help before, but am determined to provide a beautiful tribute to my beautiful son.”

Please please please click here to donate to this amazing boy’s mother. He has made such an impact on me and my community. Even if you can’t spare any money, please reblog and share to whoever you can. There’s still around two weeks left and they’re only $2,000 dollars away from their goal.

I am going to keep reposting this until it has the thousands of notes it deserves!
